My Night With Reg, the acclaimed play which ran at the Donmar Warehouse earlier this year, will transfer to the West End in January and will feature the entire Donmar cast. According to There Ought to Be Clowns blog , “The play could be pigeon-holed as a gay play, an AIDS play, an 80s period piece, but the beauty of Robert Hastie’s production is that it transcends all these labels, elevating Elyot’s writing to a minor-key classic.”
From Nimax “At Guy’s London flat, old friends and new gather to party through the night. this is the summer of 1985, and for Guy and his circle the world is about to change forever. Deliciously funny and bittersweet, My Night with Reg perfectly captures the fragility of friendship, happiness and life itself. ‘The perfect British comedy of manners… tender and consistently funny’
