The Full Monty is closing after just a few weeks at the Noel Coward Theatre which leaves room for Good People to transfer from Hampstead where it has had excellent reviews.
From the Hampstead “In South Boston you’re starting on the wrong side of the tracks, so just making ends meet will require all the energy you can muster. And when sharp-tongued single-mother Margie loses her job she’ll do anything it takes to pay the bills. Hearing that an old boyfriend who has made good is in town, she decides to corner him with stunning consequences. David Lindsay-Abaire’s funny, tender and provactive drama explores how even if you live on the brink, destiny always has a way of surprising you.” The show is directed by Jonathan Kent: Sweeney Todd and Private Lives (Chichester Festival Theatre and West End).
“★★★★★ Imelda Staunton is sensational. Blisteringly funny”
