Reader GP spent a great afternoon at a Petersham BULB PLANTING WORKSHOP recently followed by a great meal.

Focusing on bulbs to be planted in the autumn for a spring and early summer that burst forth once the soil begins to warm again. This workshop reveals how and where to plant bulbs, the keys to maintaining healthy bulbs, how to anticipate and counter pests and blight, think about colour schemes and plan your bulbs amongst the rest of your planting.

WILD FOOD WALKS
Once a month they host a Wild Food Walk as part of the Petersham Platform series of events. You are invited to discover the joys of foraging in and around Petersham with chef and horticulturalist Claudio Bincoletto. The walk lasts about an hour, after which they return to the Nurseries for a light brunch and a cooking demonstration by Claudio.

CANDLELIT CHRISTMAS SHOPPING & CAROLS AT PETERSHAM NURSERIES

Rekindle some old fashioned Christmas spirit and join us for our annual evening of candlelit shopping and carol singing. The shopping evening features both a choir performing carols and a local accordion trio from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. Find festive gift inspiration, handmade wreaths, Christmas trees, gift wrapping, Christmas decorations and hampers, as well as delicious mince pies, roasted chestnuts and mulled wine.
