The Women’s Opportunity Network, which supports Opportunity International, is proud to host an exclusive screening of Miss Representation.
This cutting edge film, which premiered at the 2011 Sundance Film Festival, exposes how mainstream media contribute to the under representation of women in positions of power and influence in America. The film challenges the media’s limited and often disparaging portrayals of women and girls, which make it difficult for women to achieve leadership positions and for the average woman to feel powerful herself.
There will be drinks and canapés at 7pm, ready to be seated by 8.15pm. All profits from the evening will support the work of Opportunity International in Africa empowering women living in poverty to build profitable businesses, save wisely and insure smartly.
