Two hidden gems, located next to each other, which I frequently mention are Middle Temple Hall and Temple Church. The latter is a 12th century church tucked away in central london best known for its connection to the Da Vinci Code. The church was badly damaged in the Blitz, except for the knights buried in the crypts, and fortunately rebuilt so that you can still enjoy an evening in its mystical atmosphere listening to the Holst Singers perform. Although June seems ages away, snap up tickets now for a special summer evening.
Listen to the Holst Singers:
“The Holst Singers sing with a spellbinding sense of atmosphere and crystal-clear textures . . . supremely musical”
