W11 Opera for Young People, Good Intentions Dec 15th and 16th

W11 Opera,  London’s leading opera company for young people, is to stage Good Intentions on two nights  in December by Glyndebourne composer-in-residence Julian Philips.

Starring a cast of over 80 young people aged 9 to 18, Good Intentions is a modern Faustian tale set in a school. It follows a group of children on a journey to hell and back, tempting them with the lure of instant popularity, celebrity status and the gratification of buying brands. The libretto by Simon Christmas promises wit and humour mixed with an exploration of issues around being young today.
