I’m immersed in Claire Tomalin’s Charlies Dickens: A Life and there are many things going on in london catering to Dickens enthusiasts to celebrate the Bicentenary of his birth. Until June 2012 you can visit the Dickens in London exhibit at the Museum of London. According to the Independent this is “the best celebration of Dicken’s legacy”
Something a little bit more esoteric is the Wreathlaying Ceremony at Westminster Abbey | Charles Dickens Museum.
This will take place in Poets’ Corner from 11am-12pm on February 7th.
To apply for tickets please write, enclosing a stamped addressed envelope, to: Mr M Arnoldi, Room 7, The Chapter Office, 20 Dean’s Yard, London, W1P 3PA. Tickets will be posted by 27 January.
