The Lost Christmas-Waterloo East through December 23rd

When the Waterloo East Theatre recently opened  underneath the Waterloo railway arches its co-founder was quoted as saying “It’s certainly snug”.   But according to the Telegraph, Waterloo East makes the most of its confined space.  The theatre (which i haven’t been to yet)  is almost next door to the Old Vic and the National, and its vision is to programme “the unexpected” at low ticket prices.

The Lost Christmas, which is now on at Waterloo East, is a new musical – “a family Christmas show with a twist, full of original music and a plot that will keep you guessing at every corner. A Christmas treat for all the family!”    Read a review of the show from the Gizzle Review

The story from the website:

“Feeling that the true, selfless spirit of Christmas has been lost, Santa decides to cancel Christmas forever. Fast forward to the year 3999 where two robots can’t help but feel that something is missing from the date December 24th. Having travelled back in time to the present day they enlist little Sophie to help them on their mission to regain Christmas for future generations, both human and robot. Now it is up to Sophie and her new robot friends to journey to the North Pole and find a way to save Christmas for the world, and to stop it from being thrown away forever.”
