Terence Conran The Way We Live Now at London Design Museum Nov 16 – March 04

Terence Conran has built up a quite remarkable fortune over a long career in the design, restaurant and retail industries with his emphasis on style, form and function. He is about to celebrate his 80th birthday by launching a major new home furnishings range for Marks & Spencer, and being the subject of a new London Design Museum retrospective that explores his unique impact on contemporary life in Britain.Sir Terence Conran

According to the Design Museum, “The Way We Live Now explores Conran’s impact and legacy, whilst also showing his design approach and inspirations. The exhibition traces his career from post-war austerity through to the new sensibility of the Festival of Britain in the 1950s, the birth of the Independent Group and the Pop Culture of the 1960s, to the design boom of the 1980s and on to the present day.”
