Somerset House has a great lineup of films this summer that will be shown under the stars in the magnificent courtyard open air cinema with full surround sound. The twelve day lineup will include a wide range of films: everything from Chinatown to Princess Bride (do i dare admit that this is my husband’s favourite film? or is that just too embarrassing?)
People tend to arrive early and picnic while DJs play, or attend one of the Behind the Screen with BAFTA companion events. Doors open 18.30, DJs from 19.30 and films start at 21.15. Rugs and cushions are available to buy or bring your own.
This series of talks accompanies the Somerset summer cinema. According to Somerset House “this is your chance to hear directors, actors and industry insiders from this year’s programme illuminate the films, in animated and interesting discussions. The talks last approximately one hour and guests are invited to enjoy a complimentary drink before hand in the Behind the Screen bar. After the talk, big screen ticket holders are given access to an exclusive area in the courtyard to enjoy the film.”
Tickets (inc. complimentary pre-talk drink): £10.00 + booking fee
