Royal Academy – The Watteau Drawings thru June 5th

With only one week left (closes on June 5), i highly recommend the Watteau exhibit at the Royal Academy.   I only went last week to accompany a friend from NY that was interested in seeing it.  I’ve never been overly interested in Watteau paintings but as it turns this was a breathtaking exhibit.   It was the first comprehensive exhibit of Watteau drawings in the UK with over 80 works on paper by the French Artist.   The exhibit takes time because you can focus on the detail in just one of Watteau’s drawings for quite a while.
